Review content:
My family roots go back to NY, so pizza is a cherished commodity. If you close your eyes at Sal's, you can easily imagine yourself in a NY pizzeria. The pizza is authentic (the owner goes up to the Philly area to get only the best ingredients) and the toppings are generous. And the pizza is available both as a whole pie or by the slice, with both table and counter service. Try that at a chain restaurant. And if you are lucky, you can debate Sal himself over Italian Serie A soccer rivals AC Milan and Inter Milan. Its real Italian pizzeria, without a doubt! Just without the NY pizzeria prices. We live in Maryland now, but a visit to my parents is never complete with a Sal's pizza. Its the best Va Beach has to offer (and I used to work at Chicho's so I know).
Pros: Great Menu, Good Parking, Inexpensive
Cons: Closed Sundays
