Review content:
In response to ""sherly""... \r
If you aren't aware, Thai Delight has been in business for over 17 years now and was established as the first Mom and Pop's Thai restaurant to open in Longwood, FL. Although it's powered by just the married Thai couple, it has been able to maintain it's steady client base since the service & hospitality is reminiscent of Seinfeld/NY Style ""like it or leave it"" attitude and most importantly, the food is STELLAR. I know customers and patrons that swear by their food and have been coming back since the restaurant first opened... AND T.D. has also received excellent reviews from the Orlando Sentinel 'chow hound' author Scott Joseph as well as other local papers and online reviewers (Zagat). The food is fresh and specially prepared one entree at a time. Most of the herbs and ingredients that are used in each dish are hand-picked and grown by the owners. They take much pride in all the details which is why the food may take longer to prepare (and the fact that there is only 1 cook!) So I'm not sure why ""sherly"" who posted on 7/23 had such a bad experience. She obviously didn't do her homework or there was a miscommunication in her order perhaps? Or maybe she didn't have the patience to wait 15 min for good food? Also, most of the items on the menu are $7.99 and up and if that is considered ""over priced"" as she testifies then obviously she hasn't been out to eat in a while or gas up her car for that matter. If you want $5 meals served up fast, then I'd suggest McDonalds on 434. -Lanna\r

Now in response to ""review 1000"" it is obvious that this person is the friend of ""sherly."" A 1-hour wait is an exaggeration and the restaurant has one of the cleaniest kitchens I've ever seen. If it didn't, it would be out of business b/c this restaurant receives regularly scheduled health inspections and would not allow an ""open dumpster"" in the dining area, so I'm not sure what he/she is referring to? Besides, T.D. isn't meant to be 5-star dining....
Pros: Excellent authentic Thai food, great hospitality
Cons: If you don't like waiting more than 10 minutes, than this is not the place for you. And if you don't believe in spending over $5 on a meal, then this is not the place for you!
