Businiess name:  Dr. Stephen Schwartzberg
Review by:  J P.
Review content:
We took our son to Dr. Schwartzberg because he has a form of autism called PDD and desperately needed medication so he could function in school. Dr. Schwartzberg was highly recommended and is even a member of the board of an autism awareness group on Staten Island. I was very disappointed in our visit to him, because even though I clearly made him aware that my son had been taking several medications for several years and I was running out of them, and he absolutely needed it for school, he said he "didn't believe" in medication. He told me to have him tested for allergies. When I said I already did all that, he told me I would have to take him to a psychiatrist if I wanted to give him medication. He was the only neurologist that ever did that to me and he didn't care if my son would get sick from withdrawal from medication suddenly.
