Review content:
My largest concerns are around these 3 areas - along with 3 other families I have talked to that makes a total of 4 families NOT sending their kids back to APLS next fall 2013-14 school year
TEACHING STYLE:
Not helpful to non-native speakers. I do see native speaking children getting more attention and benefit out of the class. Non-native speakers seem to be disciplined harsher than the native speakers.
LOCATION:
School does not have their own building. They rent out a church basement adjacent to a foodbank that serves low income and homeless. (Currently, they are at Richards Rd)
ADMINISTRATION:
Lack of English fluency of all the teachers makes communication difficult and succinct. High turnover of teachers in 2013. Three staff quit at one time. Replacement teacher in one room not cited to having any previous teaching experience.
MATERIALS:
Scant amount of toys or cognitive materials to help develop the child's whole brain.
