Review content:
This school is academically competitive, but if your child is not a "white Christian" they will not feel a sense of belonging to the school. The principal Ms. McKeehan is quite ethnocentric and arrogant. The teachers are also non-educated or aware of other cultures and religions. The school does not have an appreciation for non-Christian holidays or culture. It is a very pro-war pro-military school. When my child was in Kindergarten, the teacher told the students at the end if the year that she had one wish and that was if any of them ever joined the Air Force and flew a fighter jet she asked that they would give her a free ride on that fighter jet. The school constantly brings in soldiers who speak to the students about how they are bringing freedom to other countries and that they are saving America by fighting overseas. The yearly parties are very Christian based (teachers call the winter parties Christmas parties and the spring parties Easter parties). There is very little recognition of other religions, languages and cultures. The bottom line is that if you don't come from a non-white Christian background, your family and child will feel out if place in this school. But if you are a white and conservative Christian, you will feel at home.
