Review content:
This was our first move as a military family. We moved from Pensacola, FL to San Diego, CA. The packing went very well and I was very happy that I didn't have to worry about it. However, the delivery of our stuff to our new home did not go so well. To start off, the time frame that we were given for when the movers were going to be here to drop off our stuff was 11am-1pm. They didn't show up until almost 4pm. I called the office and told the lady that were not here and she put me on hold, I guess to call the movers. When she got back on the line, she said they were on their way and would be here in about 35 minutes. I asked if they said why it was taking so long, and she rudely said ""You aren't the only pick-up or drop-off today and that's why we tell you to be available from 8am-5pm."" Well nobody told me to be available all day and if they give you a time frame of when they should be there, is it wrong of me to expect them at that time?
When the movers got to our house, I answered the door and the guy just gave me the creeps. Like he was hitting on me or something. And my husband was in the other room. I had to get my husband so he could deal with them, that's how much he creeped me out. I went in our bedroom and was watching them unload the pallet so that if they dropped anything, I would see. They were very rough with our things and didn't take caution with anything. When everything was in our house, we realized we were missing some items and some items were completely ripped and trashed.
If they are so called ""professional movers"" than why did our stuff get to us like this? I understand it was a very long move but my mother-in-law made the same move in a Uhaul and all of her stuff got here and was in one piece. I'm sorry but if ""professional movers"" cant make the same move that a 45 year old woman can, you shouldn't be in the business.
