I have been taking my children to them for over 12 yrs.. The staff is fantastic and the office runs very efficient.. I love this office because I almost never have to wait, they are always available when needed (that is very important to me) and they have taken good care of my children. There is only one negative experience I had with them. Dr. Emmett is a great doctor but there are times where I feel hes so sure of himself that he tends to be reluctant to thinking "outside of the box" . ie.. my child had a bad cough, his answer is always asthma/allergies but even after all the asthma/allergy meds, I knew as a parent there was something else going on. I had gone back to him several times before we found out he actually had a WALKING PENUMONIA and needed an antibiotic STAT. I had taken him to the ER where they did an XRAY,etc. Dr. Emmett was still in denial even after we told him what the ER said. My child's insurance was terminated for a short period of time and we were paying cash. I was so mad at the doctor cause the ER visit cost me $2,000,. If he had just taken the time to listen to me and do what I ask, we would not have had to spend so much money. He will almost never prescribe an antibiotic, but hey sometimes its necessary. After a few days on the antibiotic, my son was like a new person. My husband was furious and didn't want us to take our kids there no more. However, I stayed because for the most part they are great. One time when my daughter was a baby and was running a high fever, Dr. Emmett came in from Long Island on a Sunday, just to see her. That for me was incredible. Most doctors will say, bring them to the ER. Dr. Kogan is also a very good doctor.
