Review content:
I want to see all restaurants downtown thrive but I've got to call it the way I see it. I grew up here, moved to the New York area and now I'm back with some perspective. The food at Scotti's was basically tastless. The soup was the best part. I'm all for eclectic but this was, well...just strange. The interior looked as if the old man got a hold of some spare bathroom tile, tapped into the vino and went to town on the walls. Not romantic, weird. My wife and I had 2 dishes (portion sizes a bit small compared to other Italian benchmarks) and one bottle of wine. The bill w/tip was $78. For the quality and the strange surroundings it just was not really worth it.
Pros: downtown
Cons: taste, value, weird
