Gailey Eye Clinic (on Main Street, south of IWU campus) in Bloomington offers a vast array of eye care services to patients throughout central Illinois. They have six board certified opthamologists and five optometrists on staff in the Bloomington location, as well as other locations in Central and north central Illinois. Doctors specialize in corneal transplantation, the treatment of glaucoma and cataract surgery. One doctor offers cosmetic eyelid surgery, another was one of the first doctors in downstate Illinois to perform RK surgery for nearsightedness. Gailey's also maintains a full service glasses and contact lens department. I have gone to Gailey's for over 30 years, and even though I now live two hours from Bloomington, I continue to go there for because of their caring, qualified staff and their reputation for excellence.
