Why, why, why did I give this place a third chance? I am bad dog mommy, but this place is the worst. \r \r My dog was fixed there a couple of years ago and had some complications after surgery (leaking urine occasionally). I brought her back there and couldn't get a straight answer, partially b/c the vet who saw her apparently has a crippling fear of dogs and tried to diagnose her from the corner where she cowered behind a clipboard while I pet my exuberant lab. So I called to complain, and was left a long message about possible diagnoses for my ""male cat"". My pet is a female dog. Then in an emergency, I had to board her, and they're the closest place to me. My boyfriend's mom picked her up and they had misbilled me and misinformed her and I was credited a free stay.\r \r That was a year go. In another pinch, and financially constrained, I remembered the free day. She would be in there for less than 24 hours, my boyfriend's mom could pick her up in the morning. We ran her so she'd be tired, walked her immediately before dropping her off and she pooped and peed. \r \r Picked her up at my boyfriend's mother's last night. Her tail was caked in poop (most of which my boyfriend's mom had washed off before I got her), her nose is rubbed completely raw, and her dewclaw is cracked in half. I called today to say ""what the hell did you do to my dog?"" The woman informed me that this was typical. ""We see raw noses a lot. It's very stressful for the dogs here."" You're really instilling confidence lady. Way to make a case for Falls Road. \r \r She also said that the dogs are let out 3 times for an hour each. There is no way that happened. My dog is the kind of dog who goes to the bathroom immediately upon being let out. There is no way that she was out for three hours total and instead chose to come back into her crate to poop. This, I was told-- dogs pooping in their crate-- is also typical. ""We have to give some dogs a bath 3 or 4 times,"" the woman said, laughing. Again, I had to inform her that this was atypical behavior for dogs, and that if dogs are so stressed in their facility that they are injuring themselves and defecating in their crates, perhaps they need to reexamine how their facility is set up. \r \r I get that it's a kennel and that kennels can be stressful for dogs. My dog, however, has been in kennels before and I have never had this problem. She is crate trained, and actually likes her crate. She's never defecated in her crate or rubbed her nose raw. The staff seems utterly unconcerned that their kennel is apparently the 8th ring of dog hell and suggest that all kennels are like that. I disagree. I'm never taking my dog there again. Oh, wait, I might have to b/c they insisted that I had to get her a canine influenza vaccine that requires a booster before I could leave her. They chose not to inform me of this in my multiple phone calls about her vet records, but instead told me when I had the car packed and was dropping her off. \r \r Worst. Kennel. Ever. Pros: Can't think of any. Cons: Read my review.
