My favorite things to buy at Shady Maple are the baked goods- they are too die for. You can't leave the store without buying at least one dessert!
As well as having the great baked goods, the store also has a great selection of products. If you aren't from Lancaster County it is a great place to pick up all those Lancaster County specialties you can't find in the Philadelphia suburbs.
And yes, it has always been crowded when I have been there(on weekends), so try to go at off peak times.
