Cross Country Road Trip Day 2: We left Econolodge in Buttonwillow, CA early headed for this Super 8, in Williams, AZ on historic Route 66. Not the hotels we normally stay with, but hey, not all hotels have suites or family rooms. After a long day of driving Super 8 came into sight. It's located in a very scenic setting next to a beautiful wooded area. The building and grounds were in good repair and clean! The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful and our ""Family room was great."" Three queen beds in a very large room w/a table and four chairs, a desk, a large TV, and plenty of dresser space. The only things this room was lacking were a microwave and refrigerator. The room was very clean and well stocked with linens, coffee, and toiletries. If you can squeeze a drive into town into your schedule, DO IT! Route 66 is alive and well in Williams. We had a great time.
