I was going to use PODS but was given a cheap quote from them and thought I may as well use them and save myself some trouble. They initially told me $113/hr and $45/month for storage.WAY OFF! What they forgot to mention is that they charge you by 7x7 vault so they told me I used 3 vaults (which I don't believe) and so the storage would be $135/month instead. This was not mentioned before they had all my stuff loaded into their van. Then they charged me 1 hour ($113) to drive my stuff 12 miles to their warehouse in non rush hour traffic. It shouldn't have been more than 20 minutes....I've driven to Clackamas before. On one of the quote phone calls I was told of a crating fee of $75 once they get to the warehouse to store stuff and $75 when they remove stuff. Well, they actually charged me $170 one way and intend to charge me the same for removal. Then I called and spoke to Andy who said he'd have someone call me back...no one did. I recalled them and spoke to Andy again and he was completely rude and unprofessional and then transferred me to John who just kept telling me the same thing over and over again. I understand you charge by the hour, but if you tell someone it'll be $75 to move their stuff in you should honor that. He was not willing to honor it and acted as if I was a complete idiot...telling me there was no such thing as a crating fee. Ok then, do you think I just came up with that term on my own. HORRID!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT USE THEM!
