Businiess name:  Sine Qua Non Salons
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
after reading a million reviews on citysearch of various salons and having already had two crappy haircuts since moving to chicago from new york last fall, i was *really* hoping to find a place where i could get a good cut for not a fortune. (nothing worse than throwing down $100 for a cut you don't even like.) having curly hair and erring on the ocd-side of picky in terms of how i like my curls to look, i don't settle easily. but i took the gamble, made an appointment with libby, paid $56 (before tip) for the cut, and am really really happy with the work she did. i can't speak to the horror stories some reviewers are attesting to. everything was fine. i don't really care whether i'm offered coffee or if the person who makes my appointment becomes my best friend after one chat...that said, everyone was friendly and easy-going and i was offered hot beverages and all of that stuff. what matters to me is finding a stylist who listens and knows how to cut curly hair and will work with me to figure out what will look best. libby did that. so, if that is what you are looking for, she's definitely worth the try. good luck!
