Review content:
I have been going to this restaurant for years, and it is above and beyond my absolute favorite place in the country to dine!! They have mastered all that is necessary for a proper dining experience, from the attentive, kind, and professional waitstaff, to the sparse yet stunning decour, to the food that surpasses all expectations. The chiefs here are pure artists and prepare the dishes with a mastery that I have yet to find in any other restaurant anywhere. NEVER have I even tasted a mediocre dish...all have been cooked to perfection often with rare and unusual ingriedents. I am utterly and completely shocked at the critic who said that this was the worst Indian food they've ever tasted. I believe one of two things happened: 1) They actually visited the OTHER Tamarind on Amsterdam Ave (Note: They are not owned by the same people and are being sued) or 2) They are from a competing restaurant. Either way, you would NEVER find a meal as described by this individual at the Tamarind in Murray Hill! This food is pure ecstacy! Pros: Food is a perfect as food can get. The chefs are masters at their art! Cons: I wish it was less expensive so I could go there more often!
