I saw Dr. Bank for three years. Each time he gave me a different diagnosis (Crohns, Colitis), with very little explanation of how he came to that conclusion or why the diagnosis had changed. He did a colonoscopy. A year later he told me that I needed both a colonoscopy & an endoscopy. We scheduled the procedure for 11 days later. I did all the prep, came to the office, got on the gurney with an IV in my arm, was wheeled into the room, and he looked at me & said "We weren't going to do a scope for you, were we?" He had no idea who I was or why I was being scoped. The nurse told me later that he had written notes that morning that made it clear that he had no idea he was about to go in and do a scope. He thought it was an office visit. He had not even read the notes from our previous appointment! I woke up after the scope and he told me I had IBS. I asked him what made him think that. He couldn't answer. He told the nurse to give me a pamphlet & left. I have NEVER had any IBS symptoms. I went to Dr. Marahaba after this and he is FAR more knowledgeable.
