I bought a Samsung clothes washer and dryer from the Norman Best Buy. They told me that I should buy a warranty along with it. 2 yrs later the dryer stops working. They then tell me that I never bought the warranty on the dryer, but just the washer. Fine. They suggested I use their repair guy. Great. They send their repair guy (3 weeks after I contacted Geek Squad) named Frank Gallagher. He told my wife that she would need to pay him $173.98 for a ""special order"" part. She wrote a check and he deposited it. A couple days later we were contacted by Samsung. Samsung said they would send a technician to fix it free of charge. My wife called Best Buy's service tech Frank Gallagher and told him that Samsung was going to fix it. He said great and that he would send a refund check in the mail. We never saw a check. She called him and he said he would drop it buy. It has now been 5 weeks since he deposited the check, and 8 weeks since I contacted Best Buy about my issue and I have received no refund check for services that were never performed. All of a sudden Frank never returns messages left on his phone. I called Best Buy, and after a 35 min. phone call they said they would write it down and file a complaint. But that was all they could do. Sure it was naive of her to pre-pay a stranger, but Best Buy sent him. Thank you Best Buy for suggesting that I buy a warranty that did not cover my appliance and thank you for sending a service tech that took my money for nothing. What a horrible way of treating customers, taking money for nothing. Frank's # = 4oh5 488 - 8389 . Don't call it if Best Buy tells you to!
