I've read a bunch of the reviews for the Outer Banks and there's nothing to do? Number one, how about RELAX. It's vacation! We always vacation with kids and we play games, do puzzles, dive for pennies in the pool, build sand castles, go shopping, read books, sing and dance... it's the simple things in the Outer Banks. Also, there are the Elizabethan Gardens, the Lost Colony play, the Aquarium, the Dunes, lighthouses, mini golf, movie theaters, restaurants... Have a good easygoing time! We've been going to the Outer Banks for 15 years and now have a house there. We sneak a trip every chance we get.

Cons: traffic on weekends
