We came to La Fenice after a show for a late dinner. Although we had made reservations earlier in the day and the restaurant was fairly empty by that time, the staff seemed confused and hesitant to seat us. After sitting down, we decided on ordering an appetizer. However, when we tried to order our waiter came back five minutes later with a ""special"" menu and he never brought the appetizer at all. We ended up ordering a couple items from the ""special"" menu and one other veal entree. Unfortunately there was another miscommunication in the ordering and we ended up with a veal entree that cost over $20 more than the original order. The manager came to talk to us and never offered to bring the correct dish out. He was extremely rude and obviously did not want to correct the situation. After a small argument he agreed to charge us the price of the entree we ordered, but his lack of courtesy towards his customers was astonishing. Overall the food was decent, but definitely overpriced given the service received. I found this restaurant on City Search and have now become aware of the inaccuracy in ratings. In my opinion, you will get a much clearer and honest picture by bad reviews than the good ones. I wish I would have listened to the bad reviews and not come here. My husband and I were treating his father to a nice dinner and were extremely embarrassed by our choice.
