As a person who both eats out a bit and cooks a lot, I can tell you when my food is microwaved or cooked fresh. If a place does a really careful job it might be harder to tell. But today at lunch, I ordered the swimming angel at the elk. The food was at my table in less than 2 minutes, literally. Now it is not even possible to cook one of those crappy 5 ounce breasts that they serve there that fast. On top of that is was luke warm and slightly rubbery, as if they purposely did not re-heat it all the way to protect it from being totally rubbery. I guess they think people who know food do not eat there, or they do not care, or they thought the pre-made FSA peanut sauce would be enough of a mask. Either learn how to cook or pull it off of your menu if you cannot do it well.\r \r On a positive note, the ambiance is fun and the pub feel is strong. Pros: Great neighborhood, fun place, good beer. Cons: The food has gone down hill dramatically the last few years.
