This place is unique. I discovered it during a job trip in 2002 and I visit every time I'm in the St Louis area; just to see what else they have. It is more of an old time general store than a hardware store. You will find yourself browsing the aisles and discovering things you hadn't saw in 30-40 years when you were a young kid, as well as all modern items for today. If you can't find it at Branneky Hardware in Bridgeton MO, then then it isn't made anymore or it hasn't been invented yet. They cover a broad spectrum of items to suit the needs of the home repairman and gardener, to the car mechanic, to the full-time farmer and rancher. I learned a couple years ago that it has been family-owned for over a century, and at least one of the family members is on site at all times when the store is open. The history of the place is amazing to me, that they have been in the original location doing the same thing for so long. Incredible. Be sure to check it out if you're in the area...you won't be disappointed. Pros: They have it all or they can get it for you Cons: Not enough parking space when they're busy
