We stumbled across this resort while we were looking for a new place to enjoy Memorial Day. We have rented cabins and stayed at resorts all over Minnesota, and this one should get an award!! I would rate it our best resort experience EVER, and we've been staying at resorts for over ten years in Minnesota. Our cabin was beautiful...incredibly clean and everything was like new....the grounds are kept so tidy...a person couldn't find a piece of goose poop or a cigarette butt if they got on their hands and crawled on the ground. The kid's play area and game area was perfect as the water temperature was still so cold this year. The hosts (Ron and Pat) work round the clock...they delivered sheets for a hide-a-bed in the pouring rain (with a smile), and firewood at a moment's notice....the small store has everything you need, and there are laundry facilities on site (soap included - a life saver!!) The owners don't have alot of time to chat as they are working...hard I might add! Yet our every encounter with them was pleasant, respectful, and courteous. They run a tight ship...which we appreciate...we have four children, and honestly I don't see a reason to ever stay at another resort. This one has everything you need...and is truly a family resort. They don't allow loud activity after late hours (thanks!!), and the lake and resort are absolutely beautiful...my kids all caught fish, and the husband a BIG walleye...so we will be back!! Thanks for such a great weekend Ron and Pat!!
