I am embarrassed to admit that I've taken the reliability and polite service I've gotten from Thrifty 'Cleaner's staff for granted. Their prices are half of what any other dry cleaner charges, and their quality is consistently good. It is also ready when they say it is and they have rushed it when I've been in a bind. If great prices, good service and pleasant people never made me really appreciate them, what happened next made me feel guilty for taking such nice people for granted the past few years. If you are like me, you will complain when things to wrong, but seldom notice when things run smoothly. Our son had just gotten married and I volunteered to take their clothes along with ours to get it dry cleaned . While I was at Thrifty Cleaner's counter my cell phone rang. My husband had been taken by ambulance to Cedars Sinai. I rushed out in tears. Mr. Khalili, the owner, was kind enough to call my home that evening to check if I was O.K. and to check on my husband's condition. He was very kind and not at all intrusive. I was impressed by his compassion The following afternoon Mr. Khalili came to the hospital to visit my husband. He brought with him two items. A lovely plant and what he found in the pocked of a tuxedo I had dropped off the previous day. He had come to return my husband's 18K gold money clip holding $900 . What becomes even more amazing is that he emphatically turned down a $200 tip! Businesses like this deserve a long overdue THANK YOU for all the years of great service and outstanding integrity.
