Review content:
This was one of my favourite places to frequent and send other to. On Sat. night , April 10 that changed. I had the very worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. We arrived later in the evening and sat down around 9:30. We decided we did not want dinner this late and ordered 2 decafe cafe' au lait and 2 almond croissants. Shortly afterwards the host (who I later found out was the owner) arrived at our table to admonish us for sitting down and not ordering dinner! I asked him if he was telling us to leave, he said no. After a lengthy and VERY RUDE reprimand from him we decided to sit there until closing. My friend thought the inside of her croissant was sour, I thought it just was not sweet. I ate mine she did not. That night I lay in bed with my eyes wide open all night and later became sick to stomach. I realized that they served us regular coffee (intentionally???) and the croissant in fact was bad. I was sick the entire next day and upset about being treated so badly. First of all, since he did not ask us to leave he should have kept his mouth shut! Secondly, he could have politely asked us to sit at the bar and offer us a dessert, on the house, to compensate. Instead he was ARROGANT, RUDE, INCONSIDERATE and has lost my business plus anyone else I can influence!!!! SHAME ON YOU....in a public business.
