Review content:
St.Elisabeth's is a truly amazing preschool--it is the kind of school that parents would be willing to drive to from a distance if they just knew about it, nestled away on a quiet Glencoe street. Housed in a church but not a religious school, this preschool boasts a bright and cozy classroom with lots of light pouring in, an amazingly spacious and super clean play area in the basement (a wonderful play area for rainy or inclement days), and a delightful fenced in playyard at the side of the church, which the teachers make great use of whenever the weather is good. There are three teachers for 12-16 children, and the teachers are simply the best of the best. They are warm, loving, cheerful, spirited, and welcoming every single day, and they have an excellent sense of how to reach each individual child and help him/her thrive. Each day is filled with stories, art projects, music, free play, and more. There is also the opportunity for extended day if parents want a slightly longer morning for their child; children can stay till 12:45 and have lunch at school as well as a project based on each day's theme (art, science, music, drama, or games). Finally, the community of parents is extremely friendly, cooperative, and mutually supportive, making the special events (ice cream social, halloween party, etc.) all the more fun. I have nothing but good to say about St. Elisabeth's. It has gifted and loving teachers, a charming facility, and a great philosophy and curriculum. My child loves the mornings spent there!!! Pros: Great Teachers, Facility, Curriculum & Philosophy, Parents
