We went in, ordered a drink at the bar, and were given the feeling that we were bothering the bartender....that we were wasting his time. After each ordering a drink, we asked for a menu, and were sneered at. We then sat down, and the server took our orders. The server also acted like we were wasting his time. It was very odd. The vibe was almost like they were ""too cool"" to serve us. We ordered appetizers and an entree. After waiting quite a long time, the appetizer came out WITH the entree. I said, ""Oh, I thought the appetizer was coming out first."" The server snapped back, ""You NEVER SAID you wanted the appetizer first."", then turned and WALKED AWAY. He never even made eye contact, just walked away, so I couldn't even reply! Sadly, his attitude and the attitude of the bartender really soured our Friday evening. We spent over $30 that night, plus tip, and walked out feeling jipped and pissed off. We are local neighbors, and would have been happy to give this establishment our business, and even spread the good word. But, they were so rude and ""cooler than thou"", that we will NEVER GO BACK. In fact, we've spread the word to friends and neighbors to NEVER GO TO NoPo42. Oh, I forgot the mention, the food sucked and was over-fried. What a waste. I hope the owner reads this and realizes the kind of staff he has on Friday nights. Especially in this economy, you treat your customers like crap AND dish out shitty food, you can't expect to last too long. Just plain foolish.
