Just shopped at the Menards store in Morton Grove, Illinois. I cannot understand why Menards expects the customer to remove the receipt from the printer and bag their own purchases! How absurd! I am the customer, you are the seller. The seller should cater to the customer, not the other way around. \r
\r
Home Depot doesn't treat their customers this way. They give the sales receipt to the customer and bag the purchased items (those items that can be bagged). \r
\r
If this Menards store wants to save money by not paying their cashiers a decent wage, then why not install ""self serve"" checkouts. Checking with family and friends, I understand this is the only Menards store in my area that requires the customer to ""self serve"" themselves at the checkout! Why is this? Why was this change made in this store? Why? Why? I don't think I will continue to shop at Menards (any store) because of this ""self serve receipt and bagging"". If I want to bag my own groceries I will shop at Aldi's. Menards IS NOT a discount store in any shape, form or definitiion of a discount store. So why does Menards expect the customer to do the work that Menards employees should be doing.\r
\r
Expecting a response and please send this e-mail to the President of Menards. I would appreciate receiving a response from him or her on this matter and also would like to ""make sure"" he or she reads my e-mail.\r

Thanks.\r

Thank you.
