To those of you out there who enjoy eating at Pasta Too in Bethel Park..There's a new pizza chef! Repeat customers (like myself) are already aware of the annoyingly long waits for eating in, so I had started ordering to go..well, when the hoagies & pizza started to become a bit under par, I began to stay away from Pasta Too..but my kids enjoy the ravioli & fetticini alfredo..so we were out shopping & they behaved so I told them as a reward we could have dinner at a place of their choosing..even though Pasta Too is surrounded by Wendy's, McDonald's & Burger King, my kids shouted ""Pasta Too, Mom!"". So we pulled in & gave Rhonda, the gracious hostess, our name & stood in the standing room only waiting area for our 15 to 20 minute wait. With nothing better to do while my kids were getting gumballs out of the machine, I scanned the kitchen to see who was cooking. Since eating in many, many times before I have my favorite cooks..long, tall Scott being one of them, excellent with pastas & stuffed mushrooms..noting that Scott was working, I happened to notice a new face. Dark hair, dark eyes, broad shoulders..I inquired. Was told that was John, new pizza guy. Hmm, he's cute, let's try his cooking. That evening I enjoyed THE BEST steak hoagie I've had in a long long time! I always order my steak hoagies with onions & mushrooms grilled with the meat before going on the bun. John did it perfectly! And his pizza was superb! I like my crust thin yet crispy..seems with most pizza shops their thin crust is soggy & when you ask to have it a ""bit well done"" they think it means ""burn it""! But John's pizza was cooked exactly the way I asked for it! Seems as though Pasta Too did it right when they hired John! I will order my hoagies, pizza, etc. no where else but Pasta Too! A little side note..I think the new pizza guy is cute, wonder if he's single? Think I'll inquire about that the next time I'm there! Pros: happy atmosphere, big portions for the money Cons: would not recommend the Shrimp Bisque, male waiters can be a bit testy
