My daughter had absolutely no experiance in horseback riding and her friend had recommended this place. So, I signed her up and she said that on her first day, it was fun. The last 45mins.-1 hour they spend swimming. The camp directors are helpful and kind. What they do is they asign a horse to each camper and the horses I heard about were Royal ( my daughter had this one), Dude ( My daughter started on this one), and Scooter. At the end of each week, they have a little show where family and friends are invited. They learn how to groom, ride, feed, and take care of a horse. The price is totally worth it, and I actually liked the setting as well. It gets hot, but for the most of it, my daughter said it was great. What I thought was great is that they also learn the history about horses.\r \r I signed my daughter up again for the next year, but unfortunately, she had gotten thrown from a horse on a trail ride @ Calero Ranch and wasn't able to go for she was recovering from the fall. If you are looking for a place for lessons, Second Chance Ranch is the place to go. \r \r On another story, Calero Ranch is NOT the place to go. They have way too many uncontrollable horses for kids @ Calero. Pros: Everything!
