Nippon Kan is a great place to learn the traditional art of aikido! I cannot say enough about this dojo: it's beautiful, the instructors and other members are kind and patient, and aikido is accessible to anyone and everyone!
I have been practicing a little over a year now, and have progressed continually at my own pace. There is no rush to test or learn everything, and all of the instructors teach with this in mind. There are many beginners cycles throughout the year, and all of the members that are there to help teach make the experience incredible.
One of the main reasons I keep going is because there is something for everyone in aikido, including me! I am on the smaller side, yet I can successfully train with someone three times my size. Everyone practices to improve their strengths and weaknesses. It's a great place to discover who you are and what you are looking for. I strongly urge everyone and anyone to give aikido at Nippon Kan a try!!
