Review content:
Short version: DO NOT GIVE SOLEIL TANNING SALON YOUR BUSINESS! They are irresponsible and unresponsive to their customers, even if they injured their customer that had to seek MEDICAL ATTENTION! See my photos added to this business! I had SECOND DEGREE BURNS and was on THREE medications including VICODIN for the PAIN! Obviously, tanning is not exactly a ""healthy"" thing to do. But considering I wanted a bit more color before a few vacations I had coming up, I came to Soleil Tanning Salon to speed up the process. I purchased a 5-session package for $55 for use of their Royal Sun beds. I discussed with them that I DO NOT go tanning regularly. They said no problem. The first two times at 15 mins went okay. The third time the employee said 20 minutes, which I thought sounded a little high. When I expressed my concern, she said that I should have a good base tan now so it would be fine. I felt reassured and said okay. I went in the bed, left, and was feeling fine. But a few hours later, my body started to ache. When I looked in the mirror, I saw that I was very badly burnt. The next day it felt even WORSE. I could barely move. I couldn't rest on my stomach nor my back either because I was so badly burned ALL OVER my body. I had to rest awkwardly on my side, and even that hurt, but it hurt the least. The worst areas were parts that never see the sun: yes, all those parts. It was awful. I knew it was extreme enough that I needed to see a doctor. I tried calling, showing up in person, and emailing Soleil all multiple times with my injuries and asked for a refund for the services, my medical expenses, and wages lost from the days I had to take off work reimbursed. I even sent a certified letter outling all of this again with copies and proof of everything. I received no response other than a generic email (no names, just the name of the company) saying they don't usually give refunds, but they will give me mine. I received a check in the mail. No letter accompanying it, just a check for $55... but nothing for the rest of my expenses. Several things are astonishing to me: 1. That there was NOT a note that I was a new tanner in their system because there certainly should be! I even reminded them constantly of this... 2. If there was in fact a note in their system, that they would NOT have someone with enough experience in charge of the booths. Someone that would have known better and would have NOT said it was okay to be in the bed that long as a new tanner. 3. That they were completely unprofessional about the entire thing & ignored the fact that they injured me. I didn't even receive a simple apology! They never even acknowledged that I was burnt nor mentioned being regretful for my experience there. Soleil Tanning Salon is negligent and a terrible place of business. Pros: NOTHING Cons: unprofessional, untrained staff, management uncaring
