Review content:
My child has been in Primrose School of Cornelius since it opened last year. Their failure to gain enough enrollment in their first year forced them to combine Pre-K and preschool into the same classroom. So, my child's education and preparation for kindergarten suffered while the teachers had to separate the class into two distinct groups of Pre-K and daycare kids. Also, after three teachers and a slew of assistants, our child finally got a good teaching team only they then combined the classrooms which put extra pressure on the teachers to now exercise daycare again. The owners are nice enough, but a bit green in the area of business management and customer service. Concerned more about outward appearance than how much the children are learning. We tried to complain about the Pre-K combined classroom and were given many poor excuses when in the end we knew it was because of cash flow. The receptionist/manager is a not so nice person who does not answer emails and responds very curtly to questions. I don't think she smiles that often. The school director is too young and inexperienced to have the position and did not answer my questions in regard to education. Too much money for the results. Within two weeks our child has been propelled at another school and is very happy. She has learned more in two weeks than all year at this school. If you want a daycare, then there you go. If you want education, go somewhere else. Maybe time will help them grow and develop a program that is truly Pre-K, but don't call yourself a private Pre-K if the kids in the classroom are not headed to Kindergarten. Pros: New facility, active in the community Cons: Over promised, under delivered.
