Review content:
I recently had my hair colored by a trusted stylist in my hometown. (Richmond has been my home for just 3 months.) The color, though, was not what I expected. Well, actually, it was embarrassingly different! Not only did I feel shocked each time I saw myself in the mirror, I did not want to be seen by anyone who knows me. And, the next day I needed to pick up my husband at the airport after a business trip. Would he recognize me?!? Something had to be done. The next morning I did a google search for salons in Richmond, and saw reviews of Scissors that gave me confidence that this salon could help me with my color problem. I called, and Simone answered. I explained my problem and she spent time with me - listening to my problem, suggesting a solution, etc. It was clear immediately that not only is she passionate about her work, but that she is also very knowledgeable, professional, and experienced. I felt assured of her ability to do whatever it would take to correct my problem. And, not only could she correct my problem, but she could help me that same day. She had a cancellation, which couldn't have worked out better - I left the salon with just the right amount of time to arrive at the airport for my husband. (He recognized me and thought my hair looked nice!) All throughout the procedure of removing color and then putting on a gloss, Simone explained what she was doing and why. She also gave me a cut that is the best cut I've had in a long while, and tips for hair care, styling, etc. (I have thick, coarse, frizzy hair and her tips are definitely helping!) I left the salon much relieved - no need to hide! - and very grateful for what Simone had done. A few days later she called to make sure I am happy with the color and sincerely wanted to know anything that I might not have been satisfied with. Sadly, I won't be able to stay with Simone as I'm moving south within the month. Wish I could transport her to my new city! 5+ bright, gold stars for Simone and Scissors! Pros: Professional, intent listener, highly skilled, artistic Cons: Can't think of one
