Review content:
On the rare occasion that I've been to Spago, everything has been nearly perfect. The tasting menu is unbelievable and will provide you with more amazing food that you can possibly eat in one evening (the wine pairing is also excellent). Realistically, the one time I ordered the tasting menu, it was one of the 2 or 3 best meals I've ever had. Moreover, the service is always superb.\r
\r
The only thing keeping Spago from getting a 10 is the ambience, which is very good but not perfect. (This is mostly a limitation imposed by Spago's location in the middle of Beverly Hills, and not something that the management can improve very much). \r
\r
Overall, if you're willing to pay Spago's prices (which I don't think are exhorbitant at all for the quality of food and ingredients that you get), then it's tough to beat Spago in southern California. The prices are steep, and I'll list that as a con in this review, but I fully think the dining experience is worth the price (at least every once in a while).
Pros: Potentially the best food in LA, Wonderful Service
Cons: Expensive
