WHERE TO BEGIN...I WENT IN THE BEGINNING OF JANUARY. I went becuz my neighbor had her virgin hair bleached by him. it took him 6 hours but it looked wonderful and the price was cheap. so, i make an appointment.
he was quitting smoking and on some drug to help me quit smoking which can or could have caused his bizarre behavior.
He was mad becuz I had used box color to do my hair. He said he would have to use bleach to strip it out. I had worked more than a year to get my hair healthy. He burned it. Then he puts bleached on my eyebrows. He charged me for a CORRECTIVE coloring so he could charge me more. HE EVEN GAVE SUCH A BAD HAIRCUT that one side of my hair had 3 extra longer than the other side. the horrible part was I HAD TO POINT IT OUT TO HIM.
when I finally went to Atomic salon and had a girl named Bree or something like that. she told me she worked w/ him at Michells salon and he was crazy. She said he gave horrible haircuts. Another stylist at Atomic salon was there and worked w/ Adam at Mitchell's. The hair stylist called her over to show her what damage and crazy cut or bascially how Adam butchered my hair. They could not help but laugh.
Even then she just put a drab brown and would not totally fix the crazy lazy layers he put in my hair.
I finally went to a salon and told them just to cut off all the damage from the ""stripping w/ bleach: Adam did.
I still have horrible looking hair. The sides that he did uneven are growing out so slow.
But my hair is healthy now...short but healthy and I am still coloring it.
I think it is great if some ppl go in and Adam is polite and does your hair well. He was polite and did my neighbor's hair well. He did not charge her a lot.
If you want to take the chance...go in w/ virgin hair. I would not trust him w/ a cut. He will prolly want to give u a bob or if u are a man he will give u the Justin bieber cut.
Again, I look in the mirror everyday since the beginning of 2011 and am reminded of what hair trauma drama he put me thru. There was no reason to have to strip my hair.
It seems he is just an up and down person. Oh, AND HE TOLD ME HE GOT A BACK REVIEW ONE TIME AND IT WAS BECUZ THE WOMAN WAS HITTING ON HIM AND HE DID NOT ACT ON HER ADVANCES. i WAS NOT HITTING ON ADAM AND I AM CERTAINLY NOT WRITING THIS BECUZ OF SPURRED ADVANCES.
i think that was a very arrogant response to an unhappy customer.
HE RUINED MY HAIR...WHO KNOWS WHAT HE WILL DO TO YOURS. HE IS A WILD CARD OR MAYBE JUST BI -POLAR.
7 months....7monts...I finally have healthy hair but I can't style it becuz I really only have less than 3 1/2 inches of healthy hair to work with. My hair was bleached and damaged to the scalp. hair grows only 1in. to 1/2 inches a month. My hair tends to do 1/2 in. The stylist who have tried to fix his blunder keep having to cut my hair even now that it is healthy becuz the cut he gave had such uneven layers. The whole mullet thing comes in to play so every time I go into see a good stylist they have to cut the back so I don't have the infamous mullet.
I hope to one day forgive Adam for ruining my hair and betraying my trust in the fact he knew what he was doing.
just beware. I repeat my neighbor w/ virgin hair was bleach...it took forever but it was cheap and it looked wonderful...then I go in and it was fired and died and I am still suffering and terrified of another adam coming along. I am just sticking to Salon Moxie or Samuel Cole. I will save money to go to pros who are constantly being educated on how to do hair.
