Review content:
I have trained at Scott Shields Martial Arts Academy for several years and my children have recently starting training there, too. Master Scott Shields is a wealth of knowledge in many styles of martial arts and he is an excellent and patient teacher. He works very hard to transfer all the knowledge he can to his students. I train in all the classes- BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu), ACJJ (American Combat Jiu-Jitsu), JKD (Jeet Kune Do), the Fiipino Martial Arts (Kali, Silat, Escrima, Arnis) and Muay Thai. I have learned so much, both for self-defense and for sport. My children love the high energy kids classes and the fun drills and they are really getting good at the material! The ""arts"" part in martial art is never neglected and all the instructors make sure to instill traditional values in the students. It is a very respectful, fun and family oriented atmosphere and you can be sure to get the best training around. I have visited other schools and I would never call any other place home!
