I created an account on Citysearch just to write this review. I recently moved to Encino, CA from Iowa City, IA. One of my major priorities was to find a hair stylist/colorist around the area, as soon as possible. I began my Citysearch for salons in Santa Monica because although I don't live there, I start work in August at UCLA-Santa Monica. will be around that area a lot. During the search, I came across this wonderful salon, Forme. It received excellent reviews, so I decided to make an appointment. I was nervous, though. I planned to start fresh with a whole new cut and color. Looking at different hair styles in magazines, I decided on a shoulder-length bob and a darker hair color. This new cut would require 8 inches gone! I hoped I chose the right place to receive this new haircut. My friend and I both made appointments for the same time, but with different stylists. I forgot the name of her stylist, but my stylist's name was Doreen. The one thing I loved about this place was that you can chose stylists from level I to level IV, or owners. Being a poor post-college graduate who hasn't started work yet and just moved to one of the most expensive parts of the country, I couldn't spend too much on my hair at the moment. Well, I must say, the moment I met Doreen, I felt completely at ease! I immediately trusted her with my hair. I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the salon and friendliness of the staff. I never felt rushed during the whole process. Doreen actually listened to what I wanted and let's just say I got EXACTLY what I wanted. I will go as far to say that this was the best haircut and color I have ever received. Thanks, Doreen...I will see you in about six weeks for a trim and color touch-up!! \r

By the way, my friend was very please with her haircut and color as well. We will definitely be returning customers :)
