Review content:
In our experience with Sterling National, while renting from them everything was ok. However, BEWARE, once youve completed your lease and vacate the premises, they dont want to refund your security deposit. By Missouri law a landlord has 30 days to complete the walk through & give the former tentant a list of any and all damages along with the remaining amount of their security deposit. The place we rented was left in spotless condition with no damages. The first 5 calls inquiring about our deposit, I was given the same excuse. ""Our accountant is out of house and Ive contacted them about this matter."" Then the agent got to where she wouldnt even take my calls. She would have me leave a voice mail message but would not return my calls. After the 30 days had passed and Sterling National was ill-legally holding our funds (which was $1250), I contacted an attorney regarding the matter. The accountant then decided to get on the ball & do her job. When I picked up the security deposit check, I find out that the ""out of house"" accountant was actually the owners daughter & it took the threat of a law suit against them to get them to return our money. Nice way to treat people in todays economy!!! Cons: THEY DONT WANT TO REFUND SECURITY DEPOSITS
