I was surprised to find Adobe Rose Cafe in Portland! My friend, Candy Weirhan, with her mom and dad started the original Adobe Rose Cafe in Albuquerque, NM in 1984/85, located across the street from the Fair Grounds on Central Ave. Their truly authentic New Mexican food and menu was absoutely great...it just does not get much better than what they served. Their Adobe Rose was sold and in its place, another fast food cafe began. I'm wondering how the folks who run Adobe Rose in Portland, apparently borrowed Candy's original concept and began what can't hold a candle to the original?
