Review content:
After several visits to Cloudcroft, we finally decided to wait around for lunch hour (restaurant opens for lunch at 11:30am). The menu was small, but quaint. We had the chicken and chile stuffed fried avocado and the monte cristo sandwich. Both meals were very good and decently priced. Another reviewer refers to ""frozen crinkle cut fries"". When we visited, the fries were not ""crinkle cut"", but ""waffle cut"". I do not know that they were frozen. Actually, they seemed too thin to have ever have been frozen (thinner fries would fall apart in a frozen state). The stuffed avocado came with beans and rice pilaf (possibly the best rice pilaf I've had, as most are overdone and too aromatic). The monte cristo came with sweet strawberry au jus, and the waffle cut fries - which tasted like waffles dipped in the au jus. My only issue with the stuffed avocado was that it could have been better with grilled chicken and perhaps an addition of bacon. Then my review would have been 5 stars instead of 4. The wait staff was very pleasant (if not forcibly so), and prices very reasonable. A nice day out!
