I strongly disagree with the negative reviews people have left about Locust Run Kennels in York, PA. I have been using this kennel for years with no ""accidents"" at all. Both of our dogs have been kenneled at this facility. We had one dog that had reoccurring seizures and they always gave him his medicine. Our new 70 lb. Lab puppy jumped out of the car window (while moving) and had a good deal of road rash and a sprained paw. We were to drop her off the very next day at Locust Run so we could go on vacation. I felt at ease knowing she would be well taken care of while we were gone. We called to check on her and we were assured she was fine and fine she was. When we picked her up, it was like nothing had happened. She was playful and happy. She also had a NEW toy in the cage with her. They didn't have to go and play with her or get her a new toy, but they did. Accidents happen no matter where you go. Dogs get sick lets face it. Is that the kennels fault?, I don't think so. That's like saying: ""I got a tooth ache on vacation, and It's the hotels fault."" Would you never go back to that same hotel? Come on people. If your dogs are like your babies, then why leave them at a kennel at all? Would you leave your kid at day care while you go on vacation if you could? No, you'd leave them with a family member. I strongly feel that Locust Run Kennel is her home away from home and she IS with family. She loves it there and gets so excited when we drive into the facility. She can't wait to get out of the car. My parents also use Locust Run Kennels for their dogs and have been for years also. They have never had a problem either! If you are looking for a very clean and friendly kennel, look no further. Locust Run Kennels is the best place for your pet, their home away from home! B. Jaskolka
