Review content:
I travel to Miami about once a year and enjoy eating my way through South Beach each time. I've had some amazing meals - among my favorites would be Nobu, Escopazzo and Sushi Samba. However, I've never had an entire dining experience like I had at Wish.\r \r Food:\r The menu was interesting and the food was excellent. I have particular challenges as I have some pretty significant dietary restrictions. The chef obviously didn't have the typical top chef ego - and was willing to work with us on every meny item we inquired about (took out ingredients I didn't like or couldn't eat, and the food was still delicious). I've had experiences where I've been told that the food would ""Suffer"" if the dish was altered -- but obviously - based on this experience - if the chef is talented and willing to work with you - it doesn't have to suffer.\r \r Service:\r I wouldn't be writing this review if it was simply the basics (yes, food came on time, waitress was friendly). But, the waitress was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the entire menu. She was able to decribe each dish in a way that made your mouth water. Additionally, I made her aware of my dietary restrictions, and for every dish, she made sure to assure me that all of my restrictions were taken care of. And the cherry on top -- she made sure to tell us, when she brought the check, that gratuity was included. I've never experienced this -- Generally I feel that the wait staff hopes you don't notice and leave extra. Needless to say, I left extra tip anyway.\r \r Ambience:\r While I always appreaciate a nice ambience, I've never appreciated it like this. You sit in an unbelievable beautiful garden with gurgling fountains and beautiful lighting. Our table was excellent -- private but with a nice view of the restaurant. It didn't look to me like there was any bad table in the entire restaurant.\r \r Overall - if you go to one retaurant in Miami - go to Wish! Pros: Everything - Food, Service, Ambience Cons: Nothing - this place is great and worth every penny
