Review content:
I bought a Maytag washer there in the early 80's and a Maytag refrigerator in the mid 90's. Both experiences were great and I prefer to support family owned businesses. When my Maytag refrigerator died, I went straight to Appliance World. I worked with Wayne, who said he could get me what I wanted for a certain price. We had to leave before the deal was complete. When we returned, he was gone but Jason ""helped"" me. He ordered me not only the wrong color, but wrong model. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it till I got home. I called him. He said if I wanted a model without an ice maker (and water dispenser), it would be $70 more because it would have more cubic feet. I went on line, picked out a few models I liked that would fit into my limited space, and e-mailed them, requesting the price. (They don't list product prices on their websites.) Wayne left a message, saying the models I liked were discontinued but he could get me what I wanted for $70 more. Why would any reputable dealer keep discontinued models on their website? I also didn't like it that prices were not on their website. I ended up at a large department store my folks used. I will never return to Appliance World, even though it is family owned. A very frustrating, disappointing experience.
