My wife and I eat out almost every meal, except birthdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas. We went to Sidewalk Cafe this morning, June 30, 2011. We arrived about 9:55am, ordered, and were served about 10:10. We sat there until we were about finished eating, and THEN maybe 25 minutes later our waitress came by. We had been without a tea refill for at least 15 to 20 minutes. The tea was just colored water. We used an Attactions book coupon which says if you buy a meal, you get a free meal. We each had an identical meal that was $5.75 each, including the drinks. We have used an Attractions coupon at least 3 previous times at Sidewalk Cafe and the bill totalled about $6.21. When I paid our bill, the cashier said one of the drinks wasn't included. We've used these coupons for years and every time a meal came with a drink, the free meal drink was also included...Section House Cafe...Mom's...Mammy's..
Granny's,etc. None of these and others charged for the extra, included
drink. Not only did this cashier add the drink, which I assume was about $1.50, the total she charged was $9.81. How she got from $6.21 to $9.81 by adding tea is beyond me. I would have figured this woman had PMS, but she had long passed that possibility. The food is pretty good, but the waitresses and cashier are pathetic.
We will not be back.
