Review content:
Would that this charming restaurant in a breathtakingly beautiful hideaway could get some advice for a similar place in Connecticut, The Cobb's Mill Inn in Westport.\r We've been twice. The first time service was excellent but a flank steak special was burned. The waiter returned and explained that that's how ""grilled meat"" should look outside. The drinks were weak and waaaay overpriced. However, the general freshness of the food was good and the ambience delightful.\r Our second encounter was alright. The server was a little slower. The food was quite good, however, the two out of four of us who ate the oysters became quite ill later in the evening.\r A good friend of ours with whom we dine often arrived at 7:45 one evening and was told curtly by the hostess that they ""weren't serving anymore that night."" As they walked back to their car a busboy was sent out to get them and they went in, giving them the benefit of the doubt. They were rushed through their meal and it became clear that dessert and coffee would not be available. They complained to the owner, who replied to them (at 8:40; *before* the posted closing of 9:00) ""you want us all to sit here and watch you have dessert?"" We'll never go back. Pros: Can't beat the atmosphere. Cons: Expensive, bad experiences.
