Review content:
Tonight I finally worked up the courage to give Bona Pizza a try since Bruno sold it to the young guy with the ""soul patch"". HUGE MISTAKE.\r \r Had a gift certificate from Restaurantcom. Googled the restaurant so I could review their menu since I was left holding on my cell phone for 38 minutes. The website showed the new owner & gave an option to view the menu for Bellisimo Ristorante or Bona Pizza since they are connected. Decided on a large Vegetariana Pizza, priced $13.95. Drove over. Thought they would be really busy since they left me on hold for so long. DEAD is a word for the business they had. Nonexistant is another. The guys were standing around.\r \r ""I would like to place an order, please."" The man slowly made his way to the counter & appeared annoyed that he was going to have to work. Placed my order. As soon as he saw my Restaurantcom certificate, the price went up. No longer was the pizza $13.95. The new price was $19.95. For those keeping score, that absorbs every penny I saved from buying the certificate.\r \r I told the man that I just viewed their menu online & that the prices were way different. He called the owner, the guy with the ""soul patch"". He was COMPLETELY RUDE from the outset. He refused to honor the certificate at the lower prices & said that the restaurant and menu attachd to Restaurantcom was not his. His face, his restaurant, his telephone number & address, but NOT his menu. ""If you want to use the certificate the price is $19.95!""\r \r ""That's a bait and switch tactic and I don't appreciate having the prices go up because I have a certificate"". I told him that I was going to Restaurantcom and World of Westchase magazine about this. He yelled, ""THAT'S NOT VERY NEIGHBORLY OF YOU TO REPORT ME! YOU'RE NOT INTIMIDATING ME!"" He continued yelling & I walked out foodless. I miss Bruno!\r \r Went across the street to Catch23 instead. Delicious! Friendly people too!\r \r Thanks Bona Pizza for being horrible. I found a great restaurant, Catch23. Pros: Better options surround Bona Pizza and it's counterpart Bellisimo Ristorante so you can walk over to a better restaurant. Cons: The owner. Bait & switch prices. Menu give one price but your bill will reflect a higher price.
