Review content:
I purchased a 2008 BMW X3 with low miles in January 2012 from ALM. The car itself has been great and the buying experience was actually very positive, which I attribute to my salesperson Jan. There were some post sale issues however. The day after I bought the car, some moron pulled up behind me in a grocery store parking lot and hit my rear bumper while I was in the store, scratching the paint and buckling the bumper a bit. I didn't even notice until I got home. I took the car back to ALM and Jan offered to have thier paint shop repair the damage for $100.00. When I went to pick the car up, it was dark--looked OK in the street lights, but the next day in the sun I realized they had not matched the paint very well and it was a shade darker than the factory metallic silver-gray. Jan offered to re-do it, but it has been a real inconvenience to have to drop the car twice for a job that should have been done right the first time. Also, ALM did not provide me with an emmissions certificate to get my title--had to pay out of pocket for that. I got a good deal on the car ($3K less than a comparable model at CARMAX) and Jan is the man to ask for if you do patronize ALM.
