Review content:
Our insurance is not accepted at our area urgent care, so we have driven 50 minutes to Westar for child injuries and adult issues (always seems like those emergencies happen after hours!) and have always been impressed with them. We've found the wait time is generally short. It is an urgent care, so you can get them at a busy time; however, they are very efficient at processing people through. The staff from the check in, nurses and doctor's have always been professional and caring. They will x-ray you, if needed, and temporarily set the bone in their office until you can follow-up with an orthopedic surgeon. They've been great about calming nervous kids during this process. We've seen them for strep throat and eye infections in adults too and have always found the experience to be top notch. There is a closer urgent care to our home in Sunbury, but we prefer to stick with them because they are so caring. Even with the drive time, we are home sooner than if we hit the emergency room in our town. They also call to follow-up with you in a day or two to make sure everything is okay and offer any additional advice.
