My friend and I were excited about joining a new gym together. She went into World's Gym for the first time after we signed up while I was at work and had a horrible experience. She rang me in a fury exclaiming a 580lb gorilla with remedial communication skills had just assaulted her faith in our new workout facility. My friend requested a brief tutorial on the safe operation of their exercise machines. The person working the front desk at World Gym, in front of the owner, replied, Only yearly memberships receive instruction on how to use our facilities. \r \r Now, not only does the owner at world Gym offer excellent customer service but he freely invites lawyers of all shapes and sizes to walk right in, have a negligence field day when a non-yearly member gets injured for their failed lack of ANY instruction when requested by their client, but lawyers also will receive complimentary tanning and Tae Bo lessons.\r \r Avoid at all cost, I've been a member at gyms in California all the way to Florida and for $45/mo. I'd rather workout at the Y or at home than deal with these thugs. Cons: Bad Attitude, Horrible Customer Service, Steep Prices
