Review content:
After we got the prognosis on our loving kitty, the WONDERFUL staff at Cedar Hills Vet Hospital recommended that we took our cat to Dove Lewis immediately in order to save her life. As we walked in, they asked us to fill out some paperwork instructed by an abrupt and emotionless person. I glanced through the whole area and boxes of tissue were everywhere, you would THINK they would understand what emergency hospital environment should be. Well, as I was in tears and had to ask my husband to fill out the paperwork since I was about to lose it.... we can hear the staff behind the counter laughing and joking around. So that was real irritating. Cedar Hills Vet have told us that there *maybe* a funding assistance for those who needs it at the Dove Lewis so we asked them about it. The woman quickly responded ""yeah, there has been a misconception going around. It is not true. Yes we do have the funds available but that's only for the doctor to decide in which case would receive the funds. May I ask which vet told you this?"" After I said Cedar Hills Vet she almost laugh and she was whispering and laughing with another assistant about it. So that was real professional. On the paperwork we marked that we agreed to the exam fee but please talk to us first before doing anything to our cat. After an hour of talking to the doctor - right before she walked out the door she said ""oh, so the fees will be the exam fee, $35 injection to calm her down, and $12 for the oxygen, ok?"" We were stunned and walked out to the main sitting area again getting ready to pay. My husband mention that on the paperwork we wanted to talk to the doctor first so we can authorize any treatments, why were there extra fees? She went to the back and talked with the doctor and they took the $35 off. The issue isn't the money here, the issue is they have no compassion for what they stand for. EVERYTHING they mention was about MONEY!!!!
Pros: nice hospital and that's about it
Cons: coldhearted people work there
